The Quality Counts team recently dedicated their efforts at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Preschool, focusing on the playground as part of the Grow Outdoors SC natural playground initiative. During our time there, we successfully cleared the play area by removing 13 bags of leaves and debris, extracted three 5-gallon buckets worth of rocks, filled in the gaps caused by new fencing installations, and thoroughly pressure washed the play structure. Additionally, we took the opportunity to spread awareness about the mission of First Steps and the specific contributions of Spartanburg First Steps to our local community. This day of service not only bolstered the preschool’s outdoor environment but also paved the way for future collaborations with the staff and students of Converse.
