Introducing Caroline Goins

Caroline Goins has been named the new Executive Director for Spartanburg County First Steps. She will replace Barbara Manoski who will retire on April 1 after almost 20 years with First Steps.

For the last eight years, Ms. Goins has served as the Executive Director of Anson County Partnership for Children in Anson County, North Carolina. She holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. In addition, Ms. Goins earned a Duke Nonprofit Management Certificate and a Harvard Certificate of Early Educational Leadership. She has ten years of experience in early education, which includes supporting fundraising campaigns for United Way of Central Carolinas’ five-county region and global public relations initiatives in the Public Affairs Office of the United States Army.

“I am grateful for the experiences that have led me to this point in my career, and I am thrilled to join the dedicated staff, board, and community leaders who have fully embraced the importance of early education and rallied around young children and their families,” said Goins.

Caroline has served on the board of Anson County Domestic Violence Coalition, Anson Women’s League, Anson County Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals, and the local United Way’s Day of Caring committee. She is a member of Rotary International, serving District 7680 Area Governor, among other roles. She has also professionally served on multiple regional boards, including the Centralina Workforce Development Board, Blue Ridge Leadership Institute, Delta Kappa Gamma, and South Piedmont Community College Foundation.
