🏡 Family Friday 🏞️
Family Friday honors the important role families play in a child’s learning and growth. Whether it’s reading together, sharing a meal, or taking a walk, those everyday moments help build strong foundations and lasting memories. Today’s a great day to celebrate the love and learning that starts at home!
At home:
- Laundry basket toss (with “sock balls” and/ or real balls). Children see how many balls that they can throw into the basket within 30 seconds and count them at the end.
- Parachute Play (use a twin sheet – and try to keep the ball in the air/ off the ground)
- Coke Bottle bowling (coke bottle bowling pins, ball or sock, and towel for alley)
- Play board games
- Cook a family/favorite recipe together
In the Yard:
- Scavenger Hunt (use the printable below or make- up your own list) This is the link to the free printable for this activity. https://teachingmama.org/spring-scavenger-hunt/
- Plan a family picnic
- Family field day (create an obstacle course with things around the yard, egg and spoon races, foot races, sack race with pillowcases, three-legged race, tug -a-war with a sheet)

Around Town:
